As the world has been suffering for more than a year of the coronavirus pandemic, there seems to be no respite from the highly infectious disease. Today, the number of COVID-19 cases has crossed over millions globally and has resulted in an alarming death toll.
It started as a respiratory contagion in Wuhan City, China, then spread like wildfire engulfing many nations worldwide. While health professionals and medical experts are continuously on the frontlines, risking lives and working hard to launch vaccines to mitigate and contain the virus.
No one is not vulnerable to the pandemic, and there is one question that everyone has – when will the pandemic end?
As of now, there is no definite answer to that question, and one can only hope it will end sooner than expected. Nevertheless, there are ways that even a single individual can do to help eliminate the pandemic in a more timely fashion.
One of the most important is to take a Covid-19 test willingly. People can take one of the two diagnostic tests to determine if they have a current infection from the virus – a pcr test and an antigen test. The former is more advisable as it is considered the “gold standard” in COVID-19 testing.
Airlines and many countries are also requiring passengers coming in and out of their borders to take a fit to fly covid test. Most countries need travelers to prove that they have been examined by a medical professional and are safe to travel as they have proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
Taking a fit to fly covid test prevents the transmission of the virus via air travel. Many airlines are fully committed to this, considering they are hoping to flatten the surging epidemic curve.
